From August 31 to September 4, 2000, the Village of South Range hosted the Moving Wall Vietnam Memorial, a travelling half-size replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. The events from that visit were as follows:
- Opening Ceremony: 6:00 pm, Thursday, August 31.
- Candlelight Vigil: 8:30 pm, Friday, September 1.
- Vietnam Honors Ceremony: 3:00 pm, Saturday, September 2.
- Salute to Korean Veterans: 1:00 pm, Sunday, September 3.
The Rangers post had the annual standdown, with massing of colors starting at 3:00 pm (Sept. 2), followed by a wreath laying ceremony. A beef feed was held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sept. 2.
Veterans gathered at the wall to honor Korean veterans. There was music on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday by various bands.
